Jessie is passionate about connecting people to the natural world and igniting in them a belief and knowing that anyone can make a difference to the environment. The delight nature brought to her began early, sparked by her conservationist grandfather who instilled a deep appreciation for free moving wildlife through habitat corridors, and active land management.

 

Bringing together a background in law and the last six years in not-for-profits as a relationship-centred fundraiser, Jessie leads fundraising, communications and community engagement at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy (TLC). Her focus is on inspiring supporters to see how their volunteering, donations and bequests create real, lasting change for Tasmania’s extraordinary landscapes and the species that depend on them.

 

Jessie completed WELA’s National Leadership Program in 2025 and partnered TLC with WELA to bring the Conservation Leadership Intensive to life in Lutruwita/Tasmania in 2025.
