Kaavya holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, with her minor thesis examining the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax. She has experience across a range of policy issues in renewable energy and climate change, including as a research assistant on the inaugral National Climate Risk Assessment. Kaavya also volunteers as the Secretary of Earthcare St Kilda and is on the Global Steering Committee of the Children and Youth Major Group to the UN Environmental Program.
