WELA Payment and Cancellation Policy

Leadership Programs and Intensives

WELA is guided by an equitable and feminist approach to scholarships and fundraising, ensuring our programs are accessible to everyone. Our fundraising efforts are crucial in supplementing program running costs, enabling us to offer lower prices while maintaining program quality.

We are committed to inclusivity by providing a range of full and partial scholarships and supporting individual fundraising efforts to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in our programs. This approach strengthens our community and fosters leadership across the movement, ensuring that every voice is heard and contributes to the collective change we strive for.

Fee Payment: Fees must be paid upfront unless otherwise negotiated. Invoices are issued upon acceptance and payment plans can be arranged if needed.

Cancellation Policy: Participants can cancel 30 or more days before the program for a full refund, minus up to 3% processing fees, and travel fees if travel has been booked for you. Refunds are not provided for cancellations within 0-30 days unless exceptional circumstances arise. No refunds are available for late arrivals, early departures, or incomplete attendance. Substitutions for cancelled participants from the same organisation may be considered. In cases of illness during in-person programs, participants will be supported in withdrawing and returning home, with financial aid at WELA’s discretion.

Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are available through partners and funders, with preference given to First Nations people, volunteers and marginalised communities.

Program Cancellation Policy: WELA reserves the right to cancel a program due to low enrolment or other issues, in which case a full refund will be offered.

Complaints: Participants can address complaints by discussing the issue with the Leadership Programs Director.
