WELA Weekend Queensland 2022

Applications for the Queensland WELA Weekend, in partnership with Queensland Conservation Council are now open!

Designed by and for women and gender diverse people actively working for and committed to our environment, WELA Weekends are a focused dive into WELA content adapted to a shorter format and connected to the needs of the geographic community. 

• 20 women actively working for our environment in Queensland, from diverse communities and backgrounds (paid or volunteer capacity)
• May 5th – 9th, 2022
• A 4 day in-person retreat at a local facility, connected to nature
• An opportunity to develop your own leadership, while forming deep connections and relationships with other women environmental leaders in your region or community
• Online connection to WELA’s growing network across Australia
• Comprehensive resources and materials
• Application close date extended until Friday 11th March 2022

WELA aims to address the ways in which women’s leadership can transform our response to our environmental and climate crises. WELA empowers women to identify their own approach to leadership, and to recognise and step into their power to influence.
